We offer the following general procedures:
A filling is a general cavity treatment in which decayed portions of a tooth or teeth are removed. Then, the area is filled in where the decayed material once was. Fillings are also used to repair cracked or broken teeth, and help teeth that are worn down from misuse.
A crown is a cover placed over a tooth or teeth that are badly damaged and decayed. A crown is usually shaped to resemble the tooth it is covering for an aesthetic purpose.
A bridge is usually a false tooth or teeth. This false tooth is fused between two crowns to fill in an area left by missing teeth. The crowns attach to the healthy teeth that are situated on either side of the new false tooth. Unlike dentures, bridges cannot be removed.
When a tooth has become badly decayed, a root canal is often performed. In order to save the tooth, the nerve and pulp of the tooth are removed. Inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. This helps prevent any further decaying that might occur, which could cause abscesses.
